Privacy notice

This notice explains how Shree Shyam e-Mitra Kendra ("we") handles your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect and why

We collect only what a service needs: your name, mobile number, address and the details and documents of the application you ask us to make. We use them only to give you that service, to tell you its status and to keep the receipt of your payment at the counter. We store only the last four digits of an Aadhaar number, never the full number.

Your consent

Every form on this website shows its purpose and asks for your consent. At the counter we ask for it before we take your details. You may withdraw your consent at any time; we then stop using your data, except where a law requires us to keep it.

How long we keep it

Documents of an application are deleted automatically after the retention period shown on the form (180 days after the work is closed, unless the centre set another period). Records that a law requires us to keep are kept only for that time.

Your rights

• to know what data we hold about you and to get a copy of it (export);
• to have wrong data corrected;
• to have your data and documents deleted;
• to name a person who may use these rights for you.

Ask at the counter or contact us; we do it without delay.

Safety

Documents are stored encrypted, only our signed-in staff can open them, and every view is recorded. We do not sell or share your data; we give it only to the government office of your application, through its official portal.

Grievances

For any complaint about your data, contact the operator of the centre (see the Contact page). If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
